How To Upload An Existing World To Your 7 Days To Die Server
How To Move An Existing World From Your Computer To Your 1G Dedicated Server
This article will detail the steps needed to upload an existing world from your computer to your 1G 7 Days To Die server.
It is recommended to use FileZilla to transfer files between your computer and the server. Instructions for FileZilla can be found here
Stop your server.
On your local PC, navigate to C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie
Copy the world you want from C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\GeneratedWorlds on your personal computer to the Data\Worlds folder on the 1G server.
In the Saves folder, find the folder that has the same name as the folder from step 3. Copy that folder from C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves on your personal computer to the \Saved\World folder on the 1G server.
Make sure in the configuration file "serverconfig.xml" that the following settings match exactly to the one you are copying
Set the Game World to 'RWG'
World GenSeed (The seed that was used when creating the world)
World Gen Size (Must be the same size as the world that was previously generated)
Game Name (Must be set to match the name of the first folder when you open the world name in Saved\World)
Start your server.
The above guide can be modified to move a server from another host as well. The files needed would be located in the same locations as your 1G 7 Days to Die server generally.
